Work Session

October 9, 2025.

The Board of Directors of the Forest City Community School District met for a work session on October 9, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the District Office, Forest City, Iowa.

Board Members present: Beth Clouse, Troy Thompson, Cody Hennigar, Andrew Fedders and Kim Severson. Absent: David Reese and Rick Wiley.  Also present: Superintendent Darwin Lehmann, Business Manager Sara Meinders, High School Principal Ken Baker, High School Ass’t Principal Chad Moore, Middle School Principal Sarah Leichsenring, and Elementary Principal Brad Jones.

Dana Schon of Dana Schon Consulting worked alongside the Board of Education and Administrative Team to identify district strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats/barriers, all pieces that will lead to the future development of an updated strategic plan. 

The meeting adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
