Special Meeting

March 30, 2026

The Board of Directors of the Forest City Community School District met for a special meeting on March 30, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the District Office, Forest City, Iowa.  

After a quorum was established, the meeting was called to order by President Troy Thompson. Beth Clouse motioned to approve the agenda. Kim Severson seconded the motion.  Ayes: 6. Carried. Members present: David Reese, Cody Hennigar, Beth Clouse, Troy Thompson, Andrew Fedders, and Kim Severson.  Absent: Rick Wiley.  Kim Severson, David Reese, Beth Clouse, and Andrew Fedders attended the meeting electronically as it was inconvenient to do so otherwise.

Sup’t Lehmann updated the board on the status of the Winnebago County Tribune and reviewed the requirements of Iowa Code §618.3(1)).  Kim Severson moved, Cody Hennigar seconded to appoint the Winnebago County Tribune (Primary), the Garner Leader (Secondary 1) and the Globe Gazette (Secondary 2) as the District’s official newspaper for publication.  Ayes: 6. Carried. The secondary newspapers will be utilized only if the primary newspaper is unable to publish the required publications.

David Reese motioned to adjourn the regular meeting. Beth Clouse seconded the motion.  Ayes: 6.  Nays: none.  Carried.  The meeting adjourned at 12:05 p.m.
