Work Session
November 24, 2025
The Board of Directors of the Forest City Community School District met for a work session on November 24, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the District Office, Forest City, Iowa.
Board Members present: Beth Clouse, Troy Thompson, Rick Wiley, Andrew Fedders and Kim Severson. Absent: David Reese and Cody Hennigar. Also present: Superintendent Darwin Lehmann, Business Manager Sara Meinders, High School Principal Ken Baker, High School Ass’t Principal Chad Moore, Middle School Principal Sarah Leichsenring, and Elementary Principal Brad Jones. Cody Hennigar entered the workshop at 5:37 p.m.
Dana Schon of Dana Schon Consulting worked alongside the Board of Education and Administrative Team to identify district strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats/barriers, all pieces that will lead to the future development of an updated strategic plan. Beth Clouse left the workshop at 6:50 p.m. Rick Wiley left the workshop at 7:52 p.m.
Cody Henniger motioned for the workshop to adjourn. Kim Severson seconded the motion. Ayes: Four. Nays: None. Carried. The workshop adjourned at 8:11 p.m.
